The Rosenborg Castle is situated in downtown the Danish capital Copenhagen. It was built in 1606 and served twice as a country residence of Danish monarchs. In the Christian IV times (1613-1634) the castle was rebuilt, some chambers and side buildings were attached to it. Some changes were added to the interior in the time of his successors. Since 1833 the castle is open to visitors and tourists (art collection, royal regalia and valuables are exhibited there).
