 The second edition of Sculpture by the Sea, Aarhus has opened with 65 sculptures by artists from 22 countries along the bay, beach and in the forest of Aarhus. There are some stand out pieces including works by Hiroaki Nakayama (Japan), Vaclav Fiala (Czech Republic), Keld Moseholm (Denmark), The Glue Society (Australia), Chen Wen Ling (China), Tim Prentice (USA), Karin van der Molen (Holland) and Phil Price (New Zealand).

 The new hotel Bella Sky was opened in Copenhagen.This is the largest hotel complex in Scandinavia, designed by the project of 3XN, one of the most famous architectural companies in modern Denmark. Hotel Bella Sky was built in the new district of Danish capital, which is located between the airport and the historic center and communicates by the subway.

 Major Exhibition "Jorn International" with the works of Danish artist Asger Jorn, he wrote in the period from 1953 to 1973, the number of visitors nearly overtaken Olafur Eliasson exhibition in 2004. The exhibition was held from January 22 to May 22 at the Aarhus Kunstmuseum ARoS (Aarhus, Denmark).

 7 April 2004 was the official opening of ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum in the presence, among other dignitaries, of the museum’s Patron Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II. 8 April the new 17,700 square metre building, situated in central Århus and costing DKK 306m opened its doors to the public.

 In 2013 Denmark will celebrate 200 years since the birth of the great Danish philosopher and theologian Søren Kierkegaard (1813-1855). Work for the preparing to the 200-year anniversary has already begun. Culture Minister Per Stig Møller announced that were allocated 750,000 DKK to the celebration of this anniversary.

 Thousands of Danes participated in the study of Danish dialects, witch has been made by Danish linguist Michael Ejstrup on the videnskab.dk site. The survey shows that Danish dialects in safety, though they are constantly changing.
