 In Denmark Easter is celebrated 2 days long. This holiday is less popular here than Christmas. On Easter day in Denmark people set the table for essential dinner and prepare a special sort of beer.

 Danish artist Bjorn Nergaard spearheaded the design of a funeral monument for Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik. The monument itself was submitted on 19 February 2010 at the Town Hall in Roskilde. This is where the Royal couple will find its final resting place. Margrethe and Henrik personally asked Nergaard, who is also the author of the historical tapestry of Christiansborg Castle, to do design of gravestones.

 Exhibition at the State Museum of Art is opened in Copenhagen. There are 240 of the best photos of the Royal collection of prints and drawings acquired in the past 30 years.

 The bronze sculpture of Little Mermaid left Copenhagen to decorate the center of Danish pavilion at the World Exhibition in Shanghai. World Expo 2010 will be open at May 1. The project of the Danish pavilion Welfairytales is complex with an artificial pond filled with water from the Copenhagen Harbour, in the midst of which will be the famous sculpture.

 The main event of the season in the capital city of Copenhagen will be the opening Tivoli Gardens on April 15. This is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Denmark. Every year there are new roundabouts, slides, games, shows and various children's joy in the park.

Carl Andreas Koefoed (16 October 1855, Skanderborg – 7 February 1948) was a specialist on agrarian problems and ethnographer. At the beginning of 20th century he was active and influential in attempts to carry out agrarian reforms in Russian Empire.

 Each summer the Danes with fond memories of their roots, organizing festivals of the Vikings with the reconstruction of past and fictional. One of the largest and perhaps the best is the festival in Frederikssund. For half a century, about 250 adults and children to don costumes and act out every night in the open events of the Viking Age.
