Queen Margrethe II of Denmark is painted again. And again the portrayer is Niels Stroebek. Over a number of years Niels Stroebek has created several out of numerous portraits of the Queen; depicting the Queen as an individual as well as making her official portraits. One of these portraits is in Aarhus City Hall.

In Vesterbro, one of Copenhagen’s oldest and most beautiful blocks soon opens the world’s smallest hotel, café-hotel Central.

Painter and sculptor Nils Erik Gjerdevik got three huge high-voltage towers, each 42 metres high weighing a good 9 tons. The pylons will be a part of the project which Gjerdevik is planning to implement in the Trekant area (Vejle Fjord, Kolding Fjord, and Lillebaelt) under the competition “Our art” (“Vores Kunst”), held under the aegis of DR (Denmark’s radio).

Two Eastern Jutland museums have taken a step into the future. Soon their visitors will get a unique opportunity to feel a part of history. The Regional Council has just allocated funds for new projects carried out on the Frigate Jutland (Fregatten Jylland) in Ebeltoft and in the Danish Agricultural Museum in the north of Djursland.

Ereolen.dk –  this is the new electronic project in Danish libraries,  service meant  for hand-out and sale of electronic books. Books sales cause complaint  among  private internet shops in particular, who criticize this system for  violation of healthy competition.

First "De Nova Stella" edition by Tycho Brahe, dedicated to a new star opening, was sold in Bruun Rasmussen auction’s anniversary. This event became an important part of Denmark’s history.
