Jacobsen Nils Hansen Jacobsen (September 10th, 1861 - November 26th, 1941) - the Danish sculptor and ceramist. 
 
He was born in Vajen. Has got the education of the sculptor in Academy of Arts in Copenhagen (1884-1888) and debuted in Sharlottenborg. Hansen Jakobsen has been awarded by the big gold medal for "Den Bundne Loke" debut work in 1889.The next 10 years he lived in Paris, where he was under the strong impression by the symbolism and Ogin Rodin's works.
 
It was exposed many times in iParis. One of its works of that period was "En Trold, der vejrer Kristenkød", which is reflected in the arms of commune of Vajen and which copy is a part of a collection of the Museum of Arts in Vajen.

As well as many other things to progressive sculptors of that time, it was difficult for him to find ar oad on the native land. For this reason he also was engaged in manufacturing of tombstones which can be seen in different places of Denmark today.
 
The most part of ceramic and sculptural works of Hansen Jacobsen is exposed in the Museum of Arts in Vajen.
