About Project

A new Dansk.Ru Project devoted to history and culture of Denmark was developed and started within the framework of the educational program of Religious Studies Research Center "Ethna". The main task of the project is creation of a thematic educational popular science resourse that would allow to tell about ancient history and the Viking Age, about the sources of creation of the state of Denmark and historical people, about religious preferences of the Danes and about architectural monuments, about masterpieces of Danish art and magnificent museum collections - about everything that has to do with history and culture of Denmark.

Doubtless, the volume of research materials is great. Besides, the resource originally created in Russian provoked much interest among Western readers - which led to a necessity of enlarging the project and creating an English version of the site.

At present the site is in the stage of development, sections are constantly being updated. There is no financing at the moment, so all the work is being done voluntarily. Any support - consultational, informational or financial - would assist the resource's adequate
existence. We are open for cooperation and would be happy to see your comments and requests. We are also ready to exchange links, informational materials and to provide our partners with regular reports and updates on how work on the portal is moving along.
