Malmros and von Trier may have as many prices

Heartbreaks of Nils Malmros and Antichrist by Lars von Trier. It is hard to imagine two more different films, but the tops the list of nominations for this year's Robert statuettes, as Denmark Film Academy announced today. Out of 16 possible nominations candidates heartbreaks to 14 offers, Antichrist to 12

18 of the 24 Danish feature films from 2009 have achieved one or more nominations. But it has failed to Anders Matthesen black ball. Despite the good with 400,000 tickets as this year marks the largest Danish audience success.

In the battle for best Danish film of 2009 is Malmros and von Trier up against Ole Bornedal Deliver us from evil, which in total have received 10 nominations, and two films by debut directors: Martin Zandvliet applause and Nikolaj Steen comedy Old Boys, who first will premiere at Christmas.

Both Lars von Trier stars in Antichrist, Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg, is among the candidates for the statuette for best male and female lead.

The other candidates amongst men: Lars Mikkelsen in Headhunter, Thomas Ernst of heartbreaks, Kristian Halken in Oldboys and Cyron Melville in madly in love.

Charlotte Gainsbourg bleak against Stephanie Leon (See my dress), Paprika Steen (applause), Simone Tang (heartbreaks) and Birgitte Hjort Sorensen (At World's End).

Awards at a big gala show in the Circus Building in Copenhagen 7th February.

It will be 26th time that the trade association Danish Film Academy awards Robert prices. The figurine is named after the artist Robert Jacobsen.
