Russia chart ranks the second "Danish wave"

April 22, 2010 at 20:00 in Moscow cinema "Pioneer" will start the second film festival "Danish Wave". In the framework of the audience will be presented to the most prominent Danish films that were released in theaters over the past three years. The four-day film festival timed to coincide with the official visit of Russian President DA Medvedev in Denmark, which will be held from 27 to 28 April.

 

The first festival "The Danish Wave" was held in Moscow and St. Petersburg in 2003. Then Russia visited the impressive landing Danish filmmakers who tirelessly conducted master classes, trying to explain the phenomenal success of Danish cinema on the international arena. Indeed, by the time movies from Denmark a decade remained in the higher rows of the festival ratings, have become quite commercial goods outside Scandinavia, and the names of von Trier, Winterberg, Launay Sherfig, Susanne Bier was well known to all moviegoers.

The program of this festival includes the last works of the "founding fathers" of "Dogma" - Thomas Vinterberg, Christian Levring, Soren Krag-Jacobsen etc. "The Danish Wave 2" will be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Rostov, Kaliningrad, Kazan and other cities.
