Music of the Faroe Islands

Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark and Cultural Foundation "Heather" are invited to visit the Scandinavian folk music concerts, the collective "Færd", which will be held in early September in Moscow.

«Færd» - Scandinavian music group, breathed the breath of modernity in the old ballads, which now you can sometimes hear the Faroe Islands. Enthusiasts, set out to familiarize Scandinavia and the rest of the world with this unique musical material, was a violinist Peter Urband and saxophon player and accordion player Eskil Romm. Since joining the staff of the Jens Ulvsanda (bouzouki, guitar) from Sweden in the musical fabric organically intertwined with elements of jazz and rock. The group continues to develop the tradition of Scandinavian folk music and attracts new musicians to collaborate. In Moscow, "Færd" will perform with vocalist Yulie Hjetland, winner of the Danish title "Singer of the Year - 2009".
