750.000 DKK to the celebration of Kierkegaard

 In 2013 Denmark will celebrate 200 years since the birth of the great Danish philosopher and theologian Søren Kierkegaard (1813-1855). Work for the preparing to the 200-year anniversary has already begun. Culture Minister Per Stig Møller announced that were allocated 750,000 DKK to the celebration of this anniversary. "Søren Kierkegaard is one of the most significant in the history of the Danes. His creativity and ideas are of great importance not only for Denmark, but for very remote corners of the world as well. We take this opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the unique value of personality of Kierkegaard, "- said in a statement of Per Stig Møller. Celebrating the 200th anniversary of Kierkegaard's project will be organized by «Golden Days» project in cooperation with the Research Center of Søren Kierkegaard, the Association of High Schools in Denmark (Højskolernes Hus) og Theological and Pedagogical Centre in Løgumkloster. |
