According to statistics, young Danish people are leaving their home increasingly often and moving to bigger cities, mostly to the capital. Their goal is to show themselves and find a job which would totally match their wishes and ambitions. In fact, young people have always moved to cities where better possibilities for education, work and entertainments, are provided. However, according to the Statistics Denmark survey, young Danes' interest for big cities has increased recently in particular. For example, in 2006 a little more than 5.5 thousand people came to Copenhagen from province, whereas in 2010 there came more than 8.5 thousand people. Those arriving are 20 to 30 years old. Why does the Danish capital attract the youth? They claim it is the possibilities which are unavailable in their home towns. Leaving home and family comfort for a big city, the respondents cherish a dream to "become themselves", "achieve something in their life". Indeed, statistics show that in big cities it is much easier for young specialists to find a job which would match their ambitions, than it is in their home town.
