On November 24-26, 2011 two Danish bands "A Key Is A Key" (Folk & Blues) and "Sort Stue" (Hip Hop) perform in St. Petersburg, Russia.A Key is a Key (http://akeyisakey.com/blog/) is the sound of the experimental and playful musicians, Michael Love Rexen and Nicolai Love. The two distinct and contrasting voices sing postmodern hymns with global threads, and the groups has been praised in Europe for its originality and amazing vocal. Michael grew up in Dubai and Nicolai in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their references vary widely, but the two meet in a tragicomic lament with undertones of both poetry and drinking songs. A Key is a Key are, in collaboration with Danish hit producer Per Buhl Acs, at the moment putting the finishing touch to the album "LLSS", ready for release - Dec, 2011. Sort Stue (http://www.sortstue.org/) is a rhythmic D.I.Y. gathering of young hip hop musicians from Copenhagen. They have been playing, writing and grooving in different constellations since 2005 and have produced and released 6 records of their own. All the music is non-profit and free to download on the homepage. Sort Stue is a very much alive liveband and the output varies from old school heavy hip hop beats to up-tempo world music with a Danish underground twist. Played at the Roskilde Festival for 6.000 people. On November 24, 2011 A Key is a Key gives concert at the Children's Arts School Nr. 19 (8 Rijskiy Prospekt). On November 25, 2011 A Key is a Key and Sort Stue play on the stage of the MOD Club (7 Naberejnaya Kanala Griboedova) with Russin BRO SOUND warming up and on November 26, 2011 at the Vegan-club (50 Ligovsky Prospekt). |
