Two Eastern Jutland museums have taken a step into the future. Soon their visitors will get a unique opportunity to feel a part of history. The Regional Council has just allocated funds for new projects carried out on the Frigate Jutland (Fregatten Jylland) in Ebeltoft and in the Danish Agricultural Museum in the north of Djursland. The museum on the ship will display interactive models of the frigate’s deck with masts, rails, steering wheel, and guns. The main idea is to make the visitors feel like in the middle of the naval battle in 1864 on the swinging ship, feel wind in the hair, and smell gunpowder. The Danish Agricultural Museum will combine reality with virtual reality, in order to give the visitors an exciting introduction into the new permanent exposition on Danish cuisine. 675.000 Danish kroner were given to both museums for the projects implementation.
