In Vesterbro, one of Copenhagen’s oldest and most beautiful blocks soon opens the world’s smallest hotel, café-hotel Central.Saying that there is little space here would be saying nothing. The only guest will have a 12 square meters room with a spacious bed, WC, shower, and sink. “In fact, you can only lie in and use water in this room; there is simply no space for anything else”, owners Leif Tingtved and Jacob Kamp Berliner say with a smile. Yet there will be flowers and a free mini-bar with wine and snacks in the room. The guest can have breakfast at the table under the stairs, which is almost outside; ITAR-TASS reports. There are only few such narrow and lively streets in Copenhagen as Tullingsvade, where Central is located. “We want our guest to feel a part of this block”, Tingtved says. The whole mini hotel design was renewed; corresponding with the exceptional atmosphere of Vesterbro. “Our guest will wish his own house, he doesn’t have yet, to be that cozy as well”, Jacob Berliner assures. Café-hotel Central opens in April. One night there will cost 1.500 Danish kroner (around 300 dollars). Translated by Elena Kandaurova |
